FAYETTEVILLE – Beulah Mae “Bootsie” Adams, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Cabell Health Care, Culloden, WV.



Born on May 20, 1926 at Beckwith, she was the daughter of the late Erastus Peck Beasley and Essie Beasley Kessler.



Mrs. Adams was a founding member of Gatewood Church of God. She was a retired cook for the Fayette County Schools and a cook for the first rafting company, Wild Waters Unlimited. She loved to read.

FAYETTEVILLE – Beulah Mae “Bootsie” Adams, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Cabell Health Care, Culloden, WV.



Born on May 20, 1926 at Beckwith, she was the daughter of the late Erastus Peck Beasley and Essie Beasley Kessler.



Mrs. Adams was a founding member of Gatewood Church of God. She was a retired cook for the Fayette County Schools and a cook for the first rafting company, Wild Waters Unlimited. She loved to read.



Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. E. “Snooks” Adams; son, Mark “T. D.” Adams; an infant daughter; two sisters, Ruth Tumblinson and Ann Lilly; and one brother, Pete Kessler.



Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Robert Beasley and his wife, Jan, of Wake Forest, NC, William “Dill” Adams and his wife, Margaret, of Romulus, MI, and Randy Adams and his wife, Ann, of Denver, NC; four daughters: Karen Surface and her husband, Donald, of Fayetteville, Joan Hill of Charlotte, NC, Tina Kuykendall and her husband, Kevin, of Moorefield, WV, and Donna Lusher of Culloden, WV; one daughter-in-law: Sharon Adams of Fayetteville, WV; three sisters, Maggie Robinette of Grundy, VA, Evelyn Burns of Beckley, WV, and Virginia Tater of Cleveland, Ohio; sister-in-law, Judy Kessler of Beckwith, WV; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and 13 step-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Jackie Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.



The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2 PM at the funeral home on Thursday.
